Welcome to Thayer School
District’s Curriculum webpage. My name is Stephanie Hall and I am
currently the Curriculum Director, A+ Coordinator, Data Testing and ELL
Coordinator for Thayer School District.
My education includes an A.S. in Social Sciences
and Technical Preparation, B.S. in Social Psychology, M.S. in Education,
Cross-Cultural Teaching, M.S. in Science, Educational Administration
and Leadership, and am currently working towards my Ph.D. in
Postsecondary and Adult Education. I bring to Thayer School District
years of teaching experience in both the elementary and secondary grade
levels, as well as years of experience in educational leadership
positions.
The mission of Thayer School District is to provide
the foundation for lifelong learning by working together. Partnering
with administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and the
community, I aim to provide our students with a rigorous, viable,
guaranteed, and engaging K-12 curriculum based on standards that meet
the needs of all our students in order for them to be successful in
life. I want to ensure that each and every child has the learning
opportunities to be successful with the curriculum, and I will help and
support changes to teaching and learning so that all students will be
productive and responsible citizens. As the Curriculum Director, I will
support teachers in continuous improvement of their knowledge and
skills, and in delivering rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
equitably across the district.
The Director of Curriculum contributes to teacher
preparation, educational research and service, and assists in the
development and implementation of curriculum, instruction, assessment,
and professional development to staff that is aligned to the
Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP). My responsibility is to
manage the services, activities, and resources that support and enhance
curriculum and instruction within Thayer School District. This involves
active collaboration with all stakeholders in the area of K-12
educational best practices and the use of state and local assessments to
continuously measure student growth. It is my goal to be a resource and
to provide high quality curriculum support to administrators and
teachers through providing best practices, interventions, and tools to
support curriculum and instruction. Improving student achievement and
educational experiences for the students of Thayer School District is a
priority of mine. The students deserve no less!
